There could be two things that I would recommend to you, one will be for the weight loss and the other for your knees.
Four years ago I was struck by a car and thrown onto the road, messed up the right side of my body including the rotator-cuff. I was unable to move my arm, I couldnt play rugby or Cricket, I was a mess. A friend then sent me something called prosit which is meant for people who suffer from Arthritis, 3 weeks on the Prosit and I have been playing rugby ever since. Prosit is amazing stuff, it will clean your system and make you healthy, if it helps you knee like it helped my rotator-cuff, then you will be very happy.
The second bit of advice is to help you loose weight, burn fat, and increase your metabolism. This comes in the form of another natural pill, Zylene, it contains herbs that increase your energy and burn the fat. Check out the website zylene-diet.com.
Good luck and keep up the good work, looks like you are focused, that is great.

You have got to count the calories. Its the only surefire way to kose actual mass, wether that be fat or other tissue. You need to consume less calories than your body actually needs, this will achieve a steady weight loss of 1-2 pounds per week. Sue at pound shedders.co.uk really helped me. She can tailor make you a meal plan to suit your lifestyle. It sounds like you have made a great start by getting fitter and stronger. Good luck and i hope everything goes well.

Looks like most of the answers so far have just pointed out the obvious... that you're gaining muscle weight more than the fat weight you're losing.
If you want to burn more fat than gain muscle weight, do more cardio workout than weight lifting.
However, if you would like some natural help for your joints, there are several natural products that can help that as well. The most popular ones I've found are Microlactin, Hyaluronic Acid, Tart Cherry Extract, Litozin (Danish Rose Hips), Glucosamin, Chondroitin, MSM, and Avovida (a combination of avocado and soy). Most of them are very economical and are very beneficial... our customers order them on a very regular basis. Most people get benefit from one or more of these ingredients within anywhere from a week to a couple months, depending on how long it takes for the supplement to get into their joints.
The only thing you'd have to worry about on any of these aside from allergic reactions is that the Microlactin is from milk and the Glucosamin is typically from Shellfish (those are the most common allergens).

Just keep up the working out & try to eat small meals throughout the day. LOTS of PROTEIN! Keep it up & your metabolism will get revved up & the weight will come off. Just stick with it & dont expect it to happen right away. It takes time... drink LOTS of water & limit salt intake and processed foods, it may help with the bloating.

Hi Ian! It is common knowledge that muscle weight is heavier than fat weight so when you're working out, you won't necessarily lose weight at all. Your weight will be redistributed as your muscles increase. While working out, pay particularly close attention to the muscles around your knees and work on them every other day. That will take some of the pressure off and ensure your knees are being properly supported. I cannot speak to upper body bloating since I don't know the cause...but good luck!

Muscle tissue weighs more than other tissues, so maybe you've developed enough muscle that your body still weighs the same, though I find this unlikely (no insult to you, it just takes a lot of time to develop enough muscle for this to be an explanation). Perhaps you are retaining more liquid weight . . . a lo-carb diet approach may help you shed the puffiness. Also, when do you weigh yourself? Try weighing yourself in the morning, before you eat anything, that may give you a better reading than at later in the day.
