When You Do A Push-up, You Lift 65% Of Your Body Weight?

Is this true? If you weight 200 pounds, your pushing up 130 pounds when doing a push up? Or is there a different percentage?

    thats pretty close.
    you can check it for yourself.
    just get in the pushup position with your hands on a scale.
    i’m 188 and the scale says 125 in pushup position
    when i elevate my feet on a chair the lbs. went up to 145

    Yes it is true, and if you elevate you feet that percentage goes up
