What Is A Acceptable Percent Loss Of Lean Body Weight When Losing Weight?

Over the past three months I lost 10 lbs – I did a water tank body % fat test before and after. Of the 10lbs – 9lbs were fat and 1 lb was Lean Body Mass. During this period I improved my strength by at least 10% — why would my Lean Body Mass go down if I actually was building muscle?

It may be due to extra celery and over food

I bet it was all the celery!!????!!!
Ideally, you want to maintain or gain LBM while losing weight. A loss of 1lb of LBM with 9lbs of fat mass is pretty good.
If you are newer to resistance training, the strength gained would most likely be due to neuro adaptations and not truly muscle hypertrophy (growth).
However, a loss of 1lb of lean tissue is not necessarily reflective of muscle tissue loss. It may be water weight depending on you diet and other factors.
Without knowing what you are actually doing (RT, diet, ect) it seems that the numbers are going good.
